Ulajh Box Office Collection Day 8: After winning hearts with her acting in ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ opposite Rajkumar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor made a comeback on the big screen with ‘Uljh’. There were a lot of expectations from ‘Uljh’ directed by Sudhanshu Saria, but this spy thriller flopped at the box office as soon as it was released. The film is not getting audience in theaters since the first day of its release and hence it is not able to earn at the box office. How much did ‘Uljh’ earn on the 8th day?
Janhvi Kapoor’s latest release ‘Uljh’ was released in theatres on 2 August. This film clashed with Ajay Devgan’s ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’. However, both the films are yearning for a handful of money since the first day of release. Talking about ‘Uljh’, this film has flopped and has also proved to be a loss-making deal for the makers. The film has barely completed a week and now it seems to be wiped out from the box office by the second weekend.
Amidst all this, if we look at the earnings of ‘Uljh’, this film had an opening of 1.15 crores and in the first week, the film could collect only 7.22 crores. Now ‘Uljh’ has entered the second week of its release and with this, the initial figures of its earnings of the second Friday i.e. the 8th day have also come.
- According to the early trend report of Saccanilk, ‘Uljh’ has earned 35 lakhs on the second Friday of its release, i.e. on the 8th day.
- After this, the total business of ‘Uljh’ in eight days has now become Rs 7.55 crore.
‘Uljh’ may soon be removed from cinemas
The box office report of ‘Uljh’ is very bad. The film has not even touched the figure of 10 crores in 8 days of its release. Given the very slow pace of earning of the film made in a budget of 50 crores, it has become impossible for it to recover even half of its cost. At the same time, this film is now on ventilator at the box office after just a week. In such a situation, there are chances of it being removed from the theatres soon.
Let us tell you that ‘Uljh’ is directed by National Award winning director Sudhanshu Saria. And its story is written by Parvez Sheikh. Apart from Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Rajesh Tailan, Adil Hussain and Roshan Mathews have played important roles in the film.
